I'm Brady Bates, an independent software developer and student. Bates Software is where my work lives: full-stack web products built on typed backends and data models that hold up.
I build whole products rather than pieces of them. Schema, API, UI. Software gets better when one person is accountable for every layer. Right now, most of it goes into TagData.

TagData, one home for your personal data.
TagData is a personal data vault, currently in open beta. It puts the records you actually need in one encrypted place: IDs, insurance, finances, health, and property. Everything is organized by templates instead of dumped in a folder of scans. You can share a document with granular control instead of texting a photo of it, and its AI can scan and file new paperwork for you.
I build and run it on ASP.NET Core, React, and PostgreSQL.

React
Component-driven interfaces with state kept close to the data it describes. Fast where it matters, boring where it should be.
ASP.NET Core + C#
A compiled, typed backend that catches mistakes before users ever see them. Business logic lives in one place, and the compiler holds the line.
PostgreSQL
Relational data done right, with real constraints, real migrations, and transactions worth trusting. The schema is the source of truth, and I design it first.
* This site is the exception. It runs on Next.js and TypeScript, with the hero fluid on WebGPU compute. Static export, no backend at all.
